Team Full Blue Racing Formula Student Team

The Full Blue Racing team is diverse in its members, each have their own tasks to accomplish for the competition. The entire team is divided into five seperate sub teams, each with its own main purpose. These all come together to produce one car each year for the competitions. Ed Hunt - Team Captain

Ed is crucial in the team's relationship circle. He has helped bring in new sponsorship and finance to the team, improving the chance of success.

Chassis Group

Each year a new chassis needs to be designed and constructed, this team is solely dedicate to this process. Packaging, bar stresses and weight are all important issues here. Those with an interest in structural engineering or steady hand with a TIG welder often get keen for the chassis group.

Powertrain and Electrical Group

This team is in control of how power is transfered from the engine to the wheels and how all the electronics are powered. It has to consider cooling, electronics, drive-train and of-course the engine itself.

Sponsorship and Promotions Group

Running a race team is expensive. This team is focused on finding sponsors, creating promotional material and organizing events for the team and the sponsors. This team also provides the work for the for the crucial cost and business events at the competition

Vehicle Dynamics Group

There is no way of designing a car without knowing how the geometry will affect the handling, power and drivability of the car. This team is in charge of modeling the car, determing the best parameters, and providing feedback to other teams to improve performance.
