As part of the teams programme to increase the amount of track data available to feedback in future designs FBR have negotiated a supplier sponsorship deal with industry leaders National Instruments (NI).
Building on the partnership formed with NGK, the NGK has agreed with the team to extend its support for the 2011 season with additional cash sponsorship for this year.
The team held one of its most important event through the year, the FullBlue Racing Annual Dinner, at its traditional location at Murray Edwards College in early February.
After receiving a record number of entries from 31 countries for FSUK the IMechE have selected Full Blue Racing to attend the event this year.
The Full Blue Racing team took their annual visit to Autosport International at the NEC this weekend. It was a great chance to meet up with businesses and organisations within the motorsport industry.
Full Blue Racing have successfully registered for Formula Student Germany for 2011.
The Cambridge University Engineering Department website recently featured an article about students presenting their fourth year projects to F1 bosses before the British Grand-Prix this year. A number of those were on the Full Blue Racing team at the time, including one of the team leaders (Robert Woolley).
The team got their first chance this year to run the engine in anger, on a rolling road.
The team took the opportunity to support the IMechE stand at the Cambridge University Engineering Society (CUES) careers fair. The arrangement proved to be mutually beneficial with the team managing to provide an added interest to the IMechE; showing off a number of parts of the car to passers-by, explaining how members of the team had learnt the new skills and manufactured them themselves.

Full Blue Racing were invited to the opening of the new offices in Marylebone for Julian Young & Co. Solicitors. The event included a private art exhibition by artist Nicholas De Lacy Brown, and live Jazz from Olivia Cornevin.
This month started with a visit to Pi Shurlock on the 4th, discussing a replacement ECU for the coming 2011 season and beyond. Team leader Yunlong, Business group leader Ed, Powertrain group leader Dan and Control group leader Alex accompanied by the university head of Fluid Mechanics and Turbomachinery division, Professor Nick Collings to Pi Shurlok headquarters in Milton.
This will be an oppurtunity for you to learn more about the team and talk to the current team members!
Full Blue Racing attended the Cambridge University Fresher’s fair once again this year held at Parker’s piece. Good weather gave for a busy event and FBR managed to attract the interest of well over 150 potential new team members.
