2012 Upright design complete and ready for manufacture
January 20, 2012This year’s new upright design should give us a much greater versatility in suspension set up by allowing us to shim in the uprights in order to change camber and caster. With the uprights finished we are not at a stage of negotiating their manufacture, and making sure they require the least amount of tooling as possible, whilst still meeting the requirements set out in the conceptual design stage. The uprights should also yield a weight saving of about 250g, pushing us an extra 1kg closer to our 220kg target.
